Hotel Palcát is situated in a beautiful medieval town, Tabor, one hour South of Prague. Tabor played an important role in the Czech Republic. Founded in 1420, it is central to one of the most famous periods of the Czech history – the Hussite Movement and Hussite Wars.

Tabor is excellently placed to explore southern Bohemia offering peaceful countryside, extensive forests, rivers, lakes and idyllic villages. Nearby towns are packed full of history and wonderful Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture. There are literally dozens of the most stunning castles within an hours drive. The hotel guests dining restaurant is suitable for serious business dinners or informal gathering with family or friends. The restaurant has 70 seats, open daily from 7 to 22 hours. It offers domestic and international delicacies cuisine, comfortable sitting and a large selection of Moravian and foreign wines. There is open a summer terrace with barbecue from spring to autumn in the restaurant. Popular and often request is catering service for events outside the hotel premises.Breakfast for hotel guests is served in time of 7 to 10 hours.

There is prepared original Chinese restaurant with Asian food for you on the second floor. The restaurant has an excelent reputation and has won many awards as is evidenced by the large attendance.

LOCATE
The City of Tábor lies on the northern edge of South Bohemia, on the boundary of the Třeboň Basin and the Vlašim Highlands, 83 km south of the capital city of Prague, 60 km north of České Budějovice (the centre of South Bohemia). Tábor is the second largest city in South Bohemia, with a population of 37 thousand inhabitants.
The gently undulating region of the Tábor Uplands is an ideal spot to spend a pleasant holiday. There are a number of popular sites in the region including castles (Kotnov Castle in Tábor, the ruins of Kozí hrádek in the close vicinity, Starý zámek near Borotín, Šelmberk, Choustník, Příběnice…), chateaux (Bechyně Chateau, Červená Lhota on the boundary of the Tábor and Jindřichův Hradec regions) and unique technical works (the Stádlec Chain Bridge). Flat marshland lies to the south west of Tábor, with examples of typical South Bohemian folk architecture, peat bogs and extensive forests. The countryside around Tábor offers ideal conditions for hiking, cycling or horseback riding. Other places to visit in the region include interesting natural sites – Chýnov Cave, The Botanical Gardens in Tábor or the educational trail at Borkovická blata (marshlands). The Lužnice River, which meanders through the entire region, invites you to take a trip by canoe or to enjoy a quiet spot of fishing. The Tábor region is full of lakes, that are largely used for recreation. Caravan parks, hut colonies and water sports camp sites line the banks of the river and many lakes (accommodation).
